I’m Sue, a 50 year old woman living on beautiful Vancouver Island, BC who has traveled a spiritual path through financial awareness. I am blessed with three great kids (two are in their 20′s) and I live with my 12-year-old daughter. I work outside the home.

 

My Story

 

A little over a year ago, I was $40,000 + in debt; working an exhausting schedule as an RN; believing I would never – EVER – get where I wanted to be in life without marrying someone with money and the generosity to share it. I was not setting a very good example to my children. Unable to truly support myself, let alone my children, I slowly woke up to find myself living a life that I didn’t ever remember choosing. Believe me, my life was a mess and totally out of control.

 

I’m not proud of the old beliefs – the ones that had me believing the only way out of my mess was to marry someone. I believed with all my heart, that women are powerful. Women can thrive in the world. I was not living my beliefs. What I am proud of, is digging up these beliefs, uncovering them, and deciding once and for all, whether they were still serving me.

 

Discarding old, under-serving beliefs involved a lot of soul-searching. A lot of tears. A lot of throwing out ideas of who I was and exploring exactly who I am. And I had to really get that my thoughts and words created my reality.

 

Fast-forward — financially fluent for the first time in, oh — 30 years. It meant tons of internal change, the only way to create real change.

So what does this mean to you? Here on this blog I’ll be sharing insights, stories, ideas to help all of us create the financial change we choose to experience. The Universe is Abundant! Stick with me on this journey. I can tell you from experience, the feeling on the other side of all your financial heartache is beyond anything you could imagine. And yes, I get how much it hurts you in your heart to have to deny life’s expression because your bank account. Those days are gone.
